Longevity – or not so long?

If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?

I’ve mentioned, once or twice, that I’m now 83 – quite a long life, so far, really. If I, in April 2043, could send myself a sentence, it would be, “You made it!” Or rather, “I made it!”

I suppose a message from 2033 could say! “Hey, I got this far!”

A message from 2027 could say, “So far, so good!”

But, if I received any one of those messages, it might make me think, “Well, I don’t need to take care crossing the road any longer,” or “Now I can stop taking my blood pressure meds or statins!”

Then, maybe, the message I received might just disappear! Oh, no!

About Candy

I have reached the grand old age of 83 now. Until the mid 90’s I was a teacher, then a dealer in antiques and collectables which I loved! When I retired to the seaside I started a website selling antique and vintage games and wooden jigsaw puzzles. Now, I'm spending my time blogging and making oil paintings as well as looking after my very spoiled dog, Lola.

I would much prefer to send a message to my younger self…
