What is the most important thing to carry with you all the time?
……if you’re with your dog, poo bags are the most important thing to carry with you. I am very fortunate in having a dog who was taught to do her business in the back garden only! Despite this, there have been four times (in 6 years) when she hasn’t waited to get home and, luckily, I have always had bags with me. When we went on a week’s break to Longleat Forest earlier this year, Lola seemed to remember what she had been taught and waited the full week until we got back home!
At those times when I am out on my own, I always try to have a little cash (what is that? Oh, yes those bits of paper and metal we used to use when buying something!) I also carry my phone, my bank card, my bus pass and my drivers license. My mother told me always to carry my identity details, just in case……
If I’m going further afield, say for a night or two in a hotel or family’s spare room, I usually remember my various tablets – the older one gets, the more tablets one has! Also, of course, clean underwear and socks, if not a whole outfit, and something to sleep in (old T-shirt or cotton nightie) and I almost never go far from home without my iPad and charger. Tooth brush and tooth paste, face cream, a few paracetamol tablets, indigestion meds, and a bag to carry them all in, round off my list of necessary items.
I also try to carry with me, my sense of humour, my intelligence and a few extra hairpins!

Hand sanitizer, Mrs. L. Sunglasses (in this part of the world) and ever since my traveling days, I have a Buddhist style bag, with a smock in it – which can be used for loads of purposes.

I suppose I should always remember sunglasses, too. I have cataracts, caused by too much sun-in-eyes, when I was younger and hated sunglasses. Though the damage is done, I am having my first cataract operation later this month!
Now that covid is under control (HA!) I haven’t carried hand sanitiser but have relied on washing them.
What is a Buddhist style bag? Does it come with a smock? It sounds very useful indeed! Love to you and your family, Charlie! X

I haven’t had a dog for many years, and yet I continue to find poo bags in my pockets. This is,I suppose, because I’ve also had the same clothes for many years. The other day,I realised that I was ironing something that I wore to my 50th birthday party (like getting my money’s worth!)

I know what you mean about poo bags. I keep finding them in things I haven’t worn for quite a while, too. As for clothes – I think we must be twins from different parents! Many of the clothes I have, I bought at the Mind shop in West Malling more than 20 years ago. The only reason I don’t wear them is because I’m too fat. When I lose weight, I’ll wear them again. But, I don’t do ironing unless something I must wear is not likely to lose its creases while wearing it!😂😂😂😂😂
