Who are you?

Hi. Just a quickie. Every day I look to see how many people have looked at my blog posts. Today I can see that five of my posts have been read or, rather, two people have read my second blog about Patty, one has read about my sciatica and two have read Home page/archives, which I assume means they could have read any or all of my earlier posts.

Being an enormously curious person, I would love to know who has had a look at what I have to say. I know of one person who has read yesterday’s post (my daughter, ‘Veronica’). If you read this and have the time, perhaps you could just write a word or two in the comments section so I know. You’d make an old lady very happy!

About Candy

I have reached the grand old age of 80 now. Until the mid 90ā€™s I was a teacher, then a dealer in antiques and collectables which I loved! When I retired to the seaside I started a website selling antique and vintage games and wooden jigsaw puzzles. Now, I'm spending my time blogging and making oil paintings as well as looking after my very spoiled dog, Lola.

  2. I usually read them, sometimes a while later, I don’t know any old ladies, but am always delighted to oblige!

I haven’t caught up with yesterday’s post, but I’ve read all the others. Watch it, though, with that “old lady” bit. If I’m not ready for it yet, neither are you.

Thanks for letting me know, Sacchi! I’m feeling old at the mo because of the lack of sleep. It’s two weeks since the sciatica started and I haven’t got through one night yet without lying awake, trying not to howl!šŸ‘µšŸ¼

Hi Candy, writing this whilst in Yorkshire. Before I came away I had a great aromatherapy back massage at half price at Bodylite in Broadstairs with Dawn, for Ā£12. 50 !! instead of Ā£25. The offer ends on Saturday, it’s really worth taking up.
You should make a book from your blogs Candy, I always find them fascinating and really well written. Bon continuation……

Thanks, Andrea.I might reserve myself a back massage if they have a space when I have. I hope you have a great time in Yorkshire. I still have sciatica and haven’t yet had a full night’s sleep since it started two weeks ago! I just hope the medication actually starts working soon as three to five hours of sleep a night is really getting me downšŸ˜© See you when you get back xx

What are you doing awake at this time of the morning reading blogs? My leg is hurting so badly I can’t think so I thought I’d turn on the ipad and try to distract myself but it’s not working! Thanks for answering. xxx

Hi Candy, I have read every blog you have written and am enjoying you story. I normally read them through the email and I suspect the stats only show those readers who actually visit you website. I tend to be lazy and find commenting on your facebook post when I am on there more expedient.

Thanks for your comment, Janet! I knew that you are one of the people who always read my ramblings but there must be others, particularly if the post is in the email that is sent out as some readers come via Facebook and others via Twitter and, I suspect, those are the ones I don’t know!
I very nearly mentioned that you are one of the people who reads it but then I would have had to put a couple of others which might have sounded like I was boasting, or something. Have you named your new kitten, yet? She sounds like she’s pretty high-maintenance at the moment! xx

  9. I just found your blog on Discover, and am very much enjoying reading through it! I’m an (almost) 21 year old living in India, and love animals so I’ve especially been liking your posts on Rosie and the cats šŸ™‚

Thank you for your nice comments. I’ve run out of animals of my own to write about at the minute but I will try to think of some others – like neighbours and friends’ pets. India must be a wonderfully interesting place to live. I am very old now and refuse to fly so will never get the chance to visit but I love being at home.
